Fighting Rocks in the Capital, Soldiers Shot Dead Civilian Man in Afgoi District

Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)- a heavy fighting, which lasted 45 minutes between armed fighters and the government police forces, has occurred later on Saturday in Bakara main market in the capital-witnesses said.

Heavy barrage of bullets could be heard in the commercial Bakara market where the government police forces were attacked by armed groups while they were patrolling in the market for the second day.

"I was leaving from the market to my home, suddenly fighting has started" Hassan Ali, a terrifying trader told Shabelle English service by phone.

It’s yet unknown the casualty of the fighting.

This battle comes as the government police forces are in the sprawling Bakara market on the second day.

Elsewhere Somalia’s transitional government a soldier has shot dead a man they said was carrying weapons in Afgoi district on Saturday-witnesses said.

Some eyewitnesses said that the killed man was armed with revolvers after the soldiers have ordered a passengers were onboard a civilian vehicle to drop down including the deceased man who was ordered to take his shirt up where a revolver was found in addition to he was suddenly shot dead by one of the government soldiers.

It’s unidentified the motives behind the soldier to shoot down that man.
